Henry Coleman: My Sky

My Sky 2016 My Sky 2016

Private View: Tuesday 8th November. 6-9pm

Chalton gallery is delighted to present MY SKY, by Henry Coleman. The exhibition invites us to look at the archetype of a balcony as a sculptural and participatory form. Removed from standard function and relayed as drawn form, the balcony is examined here as the visible and transferable unit of a shared resource, at times socially available, at others set at a commercial distance.
Henry Coleman (b.1974) lives and work in London. This is his first exhibition at Chalton gallery following co-produced projects in London and Mexico City.

Henry Coleman graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in 2015.
Solo exhibitions include: “Scrape”, Royal Academy, 6 Burlington gardens, “About Now: Henry Coleman”, Bloomberg Space, London, (UK) 2012; “Henry Coleman”, greengrassi, London (UK) 2004.
